View once photos: how they work

4 min

View once means the image can be opened a single time — after that it stops existing for everyone, including the sender. Here is the technology behind it and where to get the most complete version.

What happens behind the scenes

On Visualização Única the photo is stored encrypted and reachable only through a unique, unpredictable address. On the first opening, access is marked as consumed and the file is discarded. A second attempt finds only an expired link message.

If nobody opens it within 24 hours of payment, deletion happens anyway.

Why a dedicated link beats the apps

WhatsApp: sender always identified, unopened media stays up for 14 days.

Instagram Direct: requires accounts on both sides and reveals your profile.

Visualização Única: works with just a mobile number, allows anonymous SMS delivery, expires in 24 hours and shows view status in your history.

What no technology solves

Screenshots and photos of the screen taken with another device cannot be reliably blocked. View once reduces the risk of the image being kept by accident, but it does not replace trusting the recipient.

The simplest way: Visualização Única

Instead of depending on each app's features — and limits — you solve everything in one place: send the photo here on Visualização Única, pay by card, and the recipient gets a link that opens once and is erased forever.

No sign-up, nothing to install, delivery by anonymous SMS (Brazil) or by sharing the link on WhatsApp, plus a view status in your history. Just scroll to the button below and send.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still see the photo I sent after it is opened?

No. The image is destroyed after opening, including for the sender. Keep a copy beforehand if you need it.

What if the link is opened by mistake?

The view counts all the same. That is why the page asks for confirmation before revealing the image.
